In this era of rapidly depleting fossil fuels and a growing acceptance of alternative energy sources, the importance of solar installations is not hard to realize. Since Al Gore's documentary film An Inconvenient Truth hit the world's consciousness, local governments and citizen groups have become more vocal in demanding alternative renewable energy sources. A highly viable source in this regard is solar power. One US state taking a stand for its citizens to have the opportunity to do their part is Arizona. In June 2007, Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, ruled in favor of new requirements that would force the public utilities and their customers to get at least 15 percent of their power from renewable energy sources by the year 2025.
In Arizona, solar companies dealing with solar installations have already started offering different kinds of solutions based on solar (AZ) energy and solar power. The uses of solar energy today encompass space cooling and heating via solar architecture; disinfection and distillation of water to make it drinkable; solar cooking, and a number of other domestic and industrial purposes. The solar (AZ) scene has never looked busier.
